Get Ready For Beyond The Horizon Air Show

Excitement is soaring as we countdown to the Beyond The Horizon Air Show! We are rounding up everything you need to know to make this airshow one to remember! Get ready for an adrenaline-packed weekend featuring jaw-dropping military and civilian aviation performances, static displays, and more!

Gates will open bright and early at around 8 a.m., allowing ample time to soak in the day's excitement. Arrive early to avoid missing the opening ceremony, commencing around 10 a.m., setting the stage for a day filled with awe-inspiring aerial displays. Following the ceremony, the flying acts will take center stage at approximately 11 a.m., showcasing the remarkable skills of pilots and aircraft.

Admission to the Beyond the Horizon Air Show is FREE!

Feel free to bring empty bottles for water refills. Water bottle refill stations will be available for your convenience. Please avoid bringing backpacks, large bags, or coolers to ensure a smooth entry process. Rest assured, there will be a wide variety of food and drinks available for purchase onsite.

Please remember that outside food cannot be brought past security checkpoints, but guests are welcome to return to their vehicles and re-enter through checkpoints at any time during the event.

Only service dogs, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, are permitted on the premises.

Please be aware that alcohol and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. Additionally, possession and use of marijuana or CBD oil are illegal on all federal installations.

The Blue Angels

U.S. Navy Blue Angels

The Blue Angels team strives to inspire a culture of excellence and service to country. They represent the pride of the United States Navy and Marine Corps, performing demonstrations across the nation to share their experiences with fellow Americans. Since 1946, they've showcased Naval aviation's excitement, precision, and power, honoring the service of hundreds of thousands. The Blues performance will be packed with mind-blowing acts.

U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team

The U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, part of the U.S. Army, specializes in elite parachute demonstrations, competitions, and tandem operations, aiming to promote Army service opportunities. Through city and town tours across the nation, they offer a unique glimpse into the life of a Soldier. Comprised of over one hundred men and women, the team is organized into six sections: Headquarters, Aviation Detachment, Competition, Black and Gold Demonstration Teams (named after Army colors), and Tandem. 

F-16 Viper Demo Team

The F-16 Viper Demo Team is a renowned aerial demonstration unit showcasing the capabilities of the F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft. Comprised of highly skilled pilots and dedicated support personnel, the team travels nationally and internationally, thrilling audiences with precision aerobatics and dynamic maneuvers. As ambassadors for the United States Air Force, they inspire and educate spectators about the capabilities of this iconic aircraft.

Precision Exotics

Catering to the younger audience, the airshow will feature a vibrant Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Showcase bursting with interactive booths and engaging activities.

PARKING

FREE parking is available on base on a first-come, first-served basis. Maxwell AFB gates open to the public at 8 a.m. sharp on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, there is a FREE shuttle service from Cramton Bowl and Paterson Field to Maxwell AFB. The shuttle operates all day. A professional parking team will direct guests to the best available spots. Enter via the Maxwell Blvd (preferred) or Day Street gates.
