Just like the temperature, Montgomery's entertainment scene has not cooled down. It's officially festival season, and as always, we want to make sure you know exactly where you should be to make the most of it. Zoobilation: The Wildest Party in Town 

September 14th - 6 pm - 10 pm

The Montgomery Zoo will be hosting its annual Zoobilation fundraiser event. The night will be filled with food and beverage samples from the region’s top eateries, live entertainment, an exciting digital auction, and a sprinkle of unexpected delights to ensure the evening is truly special. This year, the annual fundraising event is dedicated to raising funds for a brand-new Reptile Facility. The current exhibit has served its purpose over the years, but it's time for a fresh, expansive upgrade. The new space will become home to iconic reptiles including the Indian Gharial, King Cobra, Komodo Dragon, and Galapagos Tortoise. Within, the exhibit will segment into various biomes, showcasing reptiles from rainforests to deserts, woodlands, and montane regions. 

 

Oktoberfest 

Friday September 15 - 4 pm - 9 pm

Oktoberfest, the world's biggest beer and carnival fiesta, is here! Typically held from mid-September to early October, this global celebration has reached Montgomery, AL. Hilltop Public House is the place to be this Friday, where you can enjoy fantastic breweries, a mouthwatering German food truck, wine, and live music. Kick off Oktoberfest season in style! 

 

Montgomery Oyster Fest 

September 16 - 3 pm - 7 pm

Get ready for a shell-tastic experience as Lightning Line and Old Alabama Town/LMF proudly present Montgomery's inaugural Oyster Festival! Prepare your taste buds to savor the delectable flavors of Alabama Gulf oysters expertly crafted in a truly unique setting. But that's not all – Lightning Line and Old Alabama Town/LMF are thrilled to introduce Alabama's very own oyster farm, Point aux Pins, nestled in the waters of Grand Bay since 2009.

For the ultimate oyster extravaganza, grab a VIP ticket that grants you unlimited oyster indulgence, access to an open bar, exciting cooking demonstrations, and your very own VIP enclave within the historic charm of Old Alabama Town! Montgomery Smooth Jazz Fest

Septemeber 22 & 23 - 12 pm

The Montgomery Smooth Jazz Festival is back for its second year, celebrating a blend of music genres with a special focus on Smooth Jazz and R&B. This year, the festival is two days of incredible performances by nationally renowned jazz and R&B artists. The main stage, located at the Riverfront Amphitheater, will showcase live acts in a visually stunning way, with large video screens and a specially designed interactive display that adds an exciting dimension to the music. Grab your tickets to experience this unparalleled musical experience along the serene Alabama River, with the world's best artists, promising top-notch entertainment that you won't find anywhere else.

 

Fall Festival

September 23 & 24 - 10 am - 5 pm 

Fall Festival is an inspiring two-day celebration of Montgomery, Alabama's dynamic creative culture, showcasing a diverse array of local and regional artists. This exciting, free public event boasts an eclectic art market featuring over 30 vendors, live music that'll keep your toes tapping, captivating art demonstrations, mouthwatering food trucks, and delicious tastings with our talented local brewers. 

The heart of the Fall Festival artist market is a treasure trove of locally crafted fine arts and crafts. This year, the theme is Alabama art, inspired by the Alabama: A to Z exhibition, which showcases the incredible talent from this beautiful state. All the featured artists call Alabama home and create their remarkable work right here. Beyond the festival's vibrant festivities, you'll have the unique opportunity to meet the artists themselves from 11 AM to 1 PM as they share captivating stories about their creations on display in the galleries.

13th Annual Riverwalk Wine Festival 

October 13

Prepare to embark on a captivating wine adventure featuring an exquisite selection of over 100 wines, including both local gems from Alabama and renowned international varieties. This tasting experience will take place at the historic Union Station Train Shed in Montgomery, where you'll have the opportunity to savor the world's finest wines in a charming setting.

Haystack Festival

October 20 & 21

Montgomery Whitewater is thrilled to introduce the Haystack Festival! Named after a whitewater paddling term signifying a series of big, enjoyable, and unobstructed waves. The Haystack Festival promises just as much excitement!! Enjoy free live music on both Friday and Saturday nights, along with a wide range of outdoor activities suitable for all ages. There will be yoga, Lil Tri kids' triathlon, and a Kid’s Lot filled with lawn games, festival face painting, slacklines, a tie-dye station, and more! Additionally, you can partake in daily whitewater activities throughout the weekend. So, don't forget to take your lawn chair, gather your family, and invite your friends – it's shaping up to be another fantastic weekend at Montgomery Whitewater!

 

Harvest Jam 

October 28

Prepare for an extravaganza as Harvest Jam makes its triumphant return to The Shoppes at EastChase this fall! This event isn't just for music aficionados; it's a gathering that appeals to farmers market enthusiasts, craft beer connoisseurs, and families across the river region. 

Harvest Jam promises an exceptional and diverse experience, boasting live music that'll keep your toes tapping, an array of delectable local cuisine to satisfy your taste buds, and a craft beer-tasting session. Best of all, your participation in Harvest Jam will contribute to a great cause, as 100% of the donations will go to support Child Protect, the Children’s Advocacy Center.

A Note About Live Music: While we can't list every concert in the lineup above, it's a fantastic "problem" to have – there are just so many great shows happening in Montgomery!
