OTHER SCENIC TRAILS TO EXPLORE

The Shady Street Trailhead Park is a must-visit; this park is just the first part of a larger plan to expand the city's riverfront activities and link them to other areas of Montgomery via gardens and trails. The most recent update was to Young Meadows Park, another opportunity to explore the outdoors. The River Region Trails expansion will be 155 miles of designed biking and walking trails connecting throughout the entire city but most exciting is the connection between the downtown riverfront and the new Montgomery Whitewater Park.  Even more exciting for biking and hiking enthusiasts in Montgomery is Montgomery Whitewater which will be adding biking and hiking trails in later phases. This will provide more opportunities to explore the great outdoors and enjoy the beautiful scenery of downtown Montgomery.
