Discover What’s New at Montgomery Whitewater
Montgomery Whitewater is about much more than water sports. It’s a place where locals and visitors come together to make memories, share in adventure, and celebrate life. The park has hosted everything from music festivals and corporate challenges to family-friendly 5Ks and unique children’s activities. Unsurprisingly, it was honored with the Project of the Year award just months after opening and became the official location for the 2024 Canoe Slalom and Kayak Cross Olympic Team Trials. Watching the talented Evy Leibfarth secure her spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics and claim a bronze medal in slalom was a proud moment for the park and the community. Then, Montgomery Whitewater was named one of TIME Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places 2024 in July, cementing its role as a world-class destination.
But this is only the beginning—Montgomery Whitewater’s vision extends beyond what you see today. The park has added activities that keep the adrenaline high and the fun rolling, no matter the season. Mountain bikers can enjoy two miles of scenic trails that hug the whitewater channels, while those seeking heights can tackle the Canopy Ridge Traverse, a high ropes course with 16 obstacles and seven ziplines. The Kids Low Elements course offers ground-level challenges for the little adventurers, free and open year-round. Climbers of all levels can also take on the park’s bouldering wall, designed for both new and seasoned climbers.
In an exciting twist for the winter season, Montgomery Whitewater will unveil a 5,000-square-foot real ice-skating rink on the concert lawn. From gliding on the ice under the stars to cozy gatherings, there’s something special planned for everyone. December brings weekly Sunday Brunch & Patio Music, "Tacky Sweater" Trivia on Thursdays, and the Campfire Music Series on weekends. And don’t miss unique seasonal events like Cousin Eddy’s 5K, the Grinch Chaser Fun Run, Polar Plunge, Brunch with Santa, and the Cupid Chaser 5K in February.
Montgomery Whitewater has become a symbol of endless possibility and adventure. Each season, event, and activity is crafted to bring people together in an exhilarating and memorable way. So, whether you’re in search of thrills, relaxation, or community, there’s always something to discover at Montgomery Whitewater—and this is just the beginning.
