Get ready for a full weekend of football, fan energy, and unforgettable experiences in Montgomery. Whether you're here for the rivalries or the vibes, there's something happening every day—from pep rallies and bar crawls to epic tailgates and late-night concerts.
The Afterglow Concert Series brings the party downtown with live performances each night, and don’t miss the pop-up Ferris wheel lighting up the riverfront for the perfect Instagram moment.
Rotary Park Photo Opportunity
Throughout the weekend, don’t miss the chance to capture your HBCU Weekend memories at Rotary Park, where the giant MGM letters will be on display. This photo opportunity is the perfect way to showcase your Montgomery experience and share the spirit of the celebration.
Ferris Wheels & Thrills | October 2–4
The excitement begins with Ferris Wheels & Thrills, a three-night activation bringing high-energy fun to downtown Montgomery. From October 2–4, enjoy live DJs, food trucks, and vibrant entertainment each evening from 12 PM–12 AM. The atmosphere is electric, making it the perfect way to celebrate HBCU Weekend with friends and family.
MGM On Tap Biergarten | October 3
On Friday, October 3, from 5–11 PM, Lower Dexter Avenue transforms into the MGM On Tap Biergarten, a lively kick-off celebration in the heart of downtown.
The Bama Bud truck will be stationed near the iconic fountain, offering beer straight from the keg all evening long. Around the fountain, food trucks and local vendors will serve up mouthwatering bites and specialty drinks inspired by the HBCU teams playing in Montgomery this weekend.
The evening’s entertainment features live performances by Trew the Star and Sol Xpressions, with DJ Fresh keeping the crowd moving with music, dancing, and downtown street vibes.
Football Weekend Selfie Trail
Celebrate football weekend in Montgomery with a little extra fun! Join the Selfie Trail by snapping photos at three key spots during the festivities:
- MGM Letters at Rotary Park
- MGM on Tap (Oct. 3) at Lower Dexter
- Ferris Wheel at Tallapoosa & Lower Dexter Commerce Parking Lot
You can start snapping selfies early and capture the spirit of the city at fun spots around town, but to be entered into the drawing, you’ll need to post all three official trail photos from the weekend.
Prizes include two tickets to the Annual Riverwalk Wine Festival on Oct. 10 or exclusive Experience Montgomery swag!
Post your selfies on social media, tag Experience Montgomery, and complete all three stops by Monday, Oct. 6, at 11 PM to be entered into the prize drawing.

Game Day Events – Saturday, October 4 | Cramton Bowl
Montgomery is the place to be for the Morehouse–Tuskegee Classic! Here’s your game day lineup filled with fan fun, music, and football excitement.

3:30 PM – Outdoor Fan Fest: Kick off the afternoon with an outdoor celebration full of energy, vendors, and entertainment to get the crowd hyped before the big game.

4:00 PM – Battle of the Bands: High school bands from Georgia and Alabama bring their best beats and show-stopping performances in this crowd-favorite showdown.

4:00 PM – Classic VIP Lounge: Upgrade your experience with the indoor pre-game tailgate party presented by BB King’s Blues Club. Enjoy premium food, live music, and a lively atmosphere to fuel up before kickoff.

6:00 PM – Game Time!: The Morehouse–Tuskegee Classic takes center stage at Cramton Bowl. After the final whistle, keep the party going with a post-game concert featuring Kid Capri, capped off by an epic fireworks show.
