Selma to Montgomery 51 Mile Relay and Bike Ride

Montgomery welcomes the Civil Rights Race Series and its athletes to The Capital City! Run in the historic footsteps of Martin Luther King Jr. and many others who marched the same 54 miles from Selma to Montgomery to make way for the national Voting Rights Act.

Afterward, celebrate by experiencing Montgomery’s rich history that tells the story of where we have been, but more importantly where we are going. From nationally renowned museums to upscale restaurants that are reviving the historical buildings of downtown Montgomery we've got something for everyone.

RELAY PARTICIPANTS SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Friday, March 20

Packet Pickup (Relay Teams and Cyclists)

Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Location: Montgomery Multiplex at Cramton Bowl (110 Hall St, Montgomery, AL 36104)

*Packages for virtual participants will be mailed the week of the event.

*Team Captains or a team member can pick up the team’s package.

*Please have your team’s Bib# and a photo ID available.

CYCLISTS WITH TRANSPORT - Transport is to the start point only. Cyclists may arrange to have someone transport them back to the hotel at the end of the race, or they may ride their bike back to the host hotel. Bikes will be loaded for transport the day before the race on Friday, March 20, 2026.

Bikes will be picked up on Friday, March 20th, at the Montgomery Multiplex at Cramton Bowl from 1 PM to 4 PM. (1037 Pelham St. Montgomery, AL 36104)
- Cyclists will begin to load at the front of the Renaissance Hotel at 3:30 AM until 4:30AM on race day, March 21, 2026
- Transport is to the start point only. At the end of the race, cyclists may arrange to have someone transport them back to the hotel or ride their bikes back to the host hotel.

Meet and Greet with Dinner (Relay Teams and Cyclists)

Time: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Location: Montgomery Multiplex at Cramton Bowl (110 Hall St, Montgomery, AL 36104)

We will be enjoying a special sit-down dinner. Please be sure to bring your ticket!
- You must have RSVP'd for dinner and paid the fee during registration - the deadline has already passed to RSVP

Pop-Up Concert (open to all participants) will take place after the dinner

Saturday, March 21

Relay and Bike Ride Event | Race Day!!!

Time: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM [Don’t forget your timing bracelet!]

Location: Meet at 101 Broad Street in Selma (in front of Rexall Drugs).

REMINDER: Cyclists who will be transported can load in front of the Renaissance Hotel on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 3:30 a.m. until 4:30 a.m. Buses will leave promptly at 4:30 a.m.

Once you arrive in Selma, please go to the bike holding location to retrieve your bike
You must have your matching race bib or bracelet in order to pick up your bike.

Allow 1 hour of travel time from Montgomery to Selma. - Cyclist Start Time: 6:30 am (runners immediately after and will have a 12 hour completion time from the start time. This time will be strictly enforced.)

JOIN THE PRE AND POST RACE DANCE PARTY WITH DJ SWEAT!

The awards ceremony for cyclists will take place once the top 3 males and females finish the event.
Team awards will be announced once the top 3 groups in each category finish the event.
